Bali Floods

11 September 2025: 
Heavy rainfall in Bali, Indonesia that began on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, has resulted in flooding in several areas across the country, including Kuta, Klungkung and Denpasar. Travel services may be impacted by the heavy rainfall and flooding.

Policy coverage:

Policies Purchased before 12:00AM AEDT on 11 September 2025: Customers may have provision to claim for an incident arising from this event, provided they purchased the natural disaster cover add-on.

Policies Purchased After 12:00AM AEDT on 11 September 2025: Please be aware our policies contain exclusions for known events. Customers are not covered for claims arising from this event, even if they purchased the natural disaster cover add-on. However, we will assess each situation on a case-by-case basis. 

If your travel plans are affected 

If you need to change your travel arrangements, contact your airline, cruise company or travel agent for assistance in the first instance. Please retain all supporting documentation evidencing expenses incurred. Please remember as a term of your policy you must do everything you can to minimise losses.  
You can submit a claim at any time after your policy has commenced. All claims will be assessed in line with the terms and conditions outlined in the combined Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Financial Services Guide. Each claim is reviewed individually, considering the relevant limits, conditions, and exclusions.
