What is the difference between Hospital cash benefit and medical expenses?

Created on June 14, 2025 -

Hospital Benefit covers the non-medical related costs that you incur as a result of being admitted into the hospital as an inpatient.

For example, telephone calls and taxi fares. Medical expenses covers anything deemed medically necessary and emergency care whilst outside Australia.
